Students on our 2 Year Training Courses can gain qualifications in the following 2 ways
1) They can put themselves forward for internationally recognised qualifications offered by:
having been prepared for them by Tonalis.

  These Qualifications are for:  
    Music Performing - Trinity’s performance diploma
Music Practice: Directing - for choir leaders and conductors
Music Specialist Teaching - for class music teachers
Music Instrumental/Vocal Teaching - for teachers of individuals or small groups
Music Facilitation - for community musicians, school music animateurs
            and workshop providers (subject to Q.C.A. Approval)

 
These qualifications for Professional Music Practice are offered at different levels:
Associate Level (ATCL) Licentiate Level (LTCL) AND Fellowship Level (FTCL).


2) Students wishing to be licensed as a ‘Graduate of Tonalis: Centre for the Development of Music’
will be required to complete all the Core Modules
and satisfactorily undertake practicums, projects and end of year training assessments.
Graduates will receive a ‘Professional Diploma’ awarded by Tonalis.

Our graduates are now working in many aspects of musical life as teachers, community musicians and performers, etc. All students who qualify (in either of the above ways) are invited to join the ‘Tonalis Association of Professional Members’. Membership assists graduates in making the transition from student to practitioner through providing continuing exchange, support and post-graduate courses. In addition, members receive an annual Newsletter.
